Jaipur: A man from Rajasthan allegedly killed his wife and two minor daughters by pelting them with heavy stones. Udaipur District, police said on Monday. The incident took place in Upalisubari village on Sunday night, he said.
Reportedly, 35-year-old accused Popat Lal thrashed his wife and two daughters with stones after a domestic dispute and fled. Lal is still absconding, said SHO Kotada Pawan Singh.
The deceased have been identified as 30-year-old Kali Devi and her two daughters Sumitra, three, and Bani, two.
The couple also had an eight-year-old son, who was present at the scene. Police said that it was he who had gone to his maternal grandfather and told him about the incident.
Police said that the bodies of the deceased have been kept in the mortuary of the local hospital for post-mortem.
Based on the complaint lodged by the father of the deceased, a case of murder has been registered against Popat Lal and raids are being conducted to arrest him. PTI AG AG VN VN
