Rajasthan Royals share video of Yuzvendra Chahal and Joe Root dancing together – watch

Rajasthan Royals (RR) recently surprised fans with a rare video of England batsman Joe Root and star Indian spinner Yuzvendra Chahal dancing together at an event organized by the IPL franchise in Guwahati. Sharing the video on his social media channels, RR wrote: “Welcome to IPL (Uzi Style) Root.” In another video posted by RR, Chahal can be seen apologizing to the team’s flamboyant opener Jos Buttler. Butler and Chahal are best friends in the RR camp. However, the leggie apologized to Buttler as he seems to have found a new friend in his England teammate Root. Chahal is known for such antics which keeps everyone in the dressing room in high spirits.

Watch Joe Root and Chahal shake a leg below:

RR play Delhi Capitals on Saturday in an afternoon game at their second home ground in this league which is the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati. The Sanju Samson-led side started their season with a dominant win over Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) but lost their second game to Punjab Kings by just 5 runs. On the other hand, DC will be going into the contest on the back of two consecutive losses. The David Warner-led unit will be desperate to open their account in this sea as they languish at the bottom of the IPL 2023 points table.

Key players for RR and DC

For RR, the likes of Chahal, R Ashwin, Sanju Samson and Jos Buttler are crucial. Buttler can give you quick starts, but it is also important that the top-order bats well around him. Devdutt Padikkal, who is a genuine opener, gets wasted at No.4. RR should open him and if they are yet to replace Yashasvi Jaiswal, they should not play Padikkal at all. In the last match too, Padikkal scored 21 runs in 26 balls while performing poorly.

DC’s top order needs to fire. The collective failure of Warner, Prithvi Shaw and Mitchell Marsh has hurt DC a lot. The time has come for at least two of them to show consistent good play. Shaw’s weakness against genuine pace is clearly visible. Instead of going after the ball from the start, the opener should focus on playing a few overs before launching the attack.
