Gehlot vs Pilot: Congress leader and former Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan Sachin Pilot on Thursday spoke on speculation about his quitting the Congress amid a power tussle with party colleague and Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.

No one can accuse me.” When asked about speculation about quitting the Congress, Pilot said, “Being ambitious for a post. Everyone knows about my politics.”

Gehlot’s fresh salute on Pilot

Pilot’s clarification came hours after Gehlot launched an indirect attack against him, saying those who form factions (“thari-mhari/ teri-meri karte hain”) can never succeed and will never may also not be loyal to the party.

CM Gehlot said, the one who talks about ‘Apna Paraya’ and creates factions can never be successful in life.

The statement came on a day Pilot launched a 125-km “Jan Sangharsh Yatra” from Ajmer to Jaipur to raise the issue of corruption and leakage of question papers for state government recruitment exams.

Pilot-Gehlot tussle:

Since the formation of the Congress government in Rajasthan in December 2018, Gehlot and Pilot have been at loggerheads over the post of Chief Minister. Their smoldering battle for power came into public view in July 2020, when Pilot led an unsuccessful rebellion in the party for change. leadership in the state.

The feud has resurfaced in recent weeks after Gehlot sat on a symbolic day-long sit-in against the government to press for action in cases of alleged corruption during the previous Vasundhara Raje Scindia regime.

After inaugurating the statue of former Congress leader Pandit Naval Kishore Sharma in Jaipur, Gehlot said, in a democracy, those who take everyone along are successful and factionalists can never be successful. “I have always tried to take everyone along in my life,” he said.

Gehlot stressed that he has worked his entire life to uphold the principles and policies of the party with integrity, honesty and commitment. He said that instead of shortening the line, he has worked to lengthen it.

He said, “Those who indulge in factionalism (do thari-mhari) can never succeed. They are never loyal to the party. Loyalty is very important.”

Sachin Pilot ‘Jan Sangharsh Yatra’:

Dissident Congress leader Sachin Pilot on Thursday (May 11) began a 125-km foot march from Ajmer to Jaipur, challenging Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and top party leaders as assembly elections in Rajasthan approach.
