Rajinder Gupta has been appointed as the Deputy Chairman of the Punjab Economic Policy and Planning Board. Ludhiana News – Times of India

Ludhiana: The Punjab Government has appointed Trident Group Chairman Rajinder Gupta as Vice Chairman, State Economic Policy and Planning Board, Punjab for a term of three years with immediate effect.
Padma Shri awardee Dr. Rajinder Gupta has previously served as the Deputy Chairman of the Planning Board during the SAD-BJP government and later in the Congress government. After the formation of the present state government, the Planning Board was dissolved and replaced with the State Economic Policy and Planning Board.
Dr. Gupta was awarded the “Padma Shri” award in 2007, which is one of the highest civilian awards given by the Government of India for his exemplary work in the field of trade and industry. He has held several strategic positions including Chairman of the Advisory Council of Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) for the states of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Himachal Pradesh, Chairman of the Board of Governors of Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh. An active member on the Cleveland Clinic International Leadership Board.
