Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday met Chief Minister N Biren Singh over an elaborate breakfast at his Luwangshangbum residence. The Defense Minister was accorded a warm welcome on his way to the private residence of the Chief Minister. Several state ministers and BJP leaders, including Indian Army Chief General Manoj Pandey, party state president A Sharda Devi, also attended the meeting.
“It was an absolute pleasure to have Hon’ble Defense Minister Shri @rajnathsingh ji at my residence today and get his guidance on various important matters of the State. Extremely grateful for their continued support throughout (sic),” tweeted the Chief Minister. “Glad to be hosting Shri @rajnathsingh ji for a hearty breakfast at my residence in the presence of Hon’ble Ministers, MLAs, COAS and senior party functionaries,” he said.
The Defense Minister then went to the office of the Inspector General of Assam Rifles (South) at Mantri Pukhri where he interacted with the personnel of the Assam Rifles and the 57th Mountain Division of the Indian Army. Rajnath Singh is on a two-day visit to the northeastern state. On Thursday, he inaugurated the Manipur Chapter of the 131st Durand Cup at the Khuman Lampak Stadium.
