All India Trinamool Congress MP Derek O’Brien questioned whether every Indian will have housing by 2022, as promised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2018. Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said that the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana had started. Despite the pandemic, all restrictions will be lifted by March 2022. He shared that the time taken after the grounding of a dwelling is between 18 to 24 months, and the plan will be completed in the near future.
