The 37-year-old actor, who was accompanied by his wife, entrepreneur Upasana Kamineni Konidela, was greeted by hundreds of fans at the Delhi airport.
“I am happy and elated. Thank you all. We are proud of MM Keeravani, SS Rajamouli and Chandrabose. Because of them we walked the red carpet and brought Oscars to India.”
“I thank all the fans and people from North to South and East to West India for watching RRR and making grandson grandson Song superhit. grandson grandson It was not our song, it was the song of the people of India. It gave us an opportunity for the Oscars,” Charan told reporters at the airport.
At the 95th Academy Awards, the foot-tapping chartbuster “Naatu Naatu”, composed by MM Keeravani and written by Chandrabose, made a Telugu feature film the first Indian production to bag a golden statuette.

RRR is a pre-independence fictional story set in the 1920s following two real-life Indian revolutionaries Alluri Sitarama Raju (Charan) and Komaram Bheem (Jr NTR). Apart from Telugu songs, Netflix’s Tamil documentary elephant whisperingDirected by debutant Karthiki Gonsalves and produced by Guneet Monga, the documentary became the first Indian production to win in the short film category.
