Action thriller Kantara has been building on the box office success after the Hindi version released on 14 October. The film is directed and written by Rishabh Shetty. The actor-filmmaker was also featured in the lead role. Needless to say, the film is doing well in the south and is now hoping for a great run in the Hindi belt as well. The film has managed to impress both the audience and critics with its impressive content.
It has also carved a special place in the hearts of celebrities as they cannot stop watching the film. Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma, who is known for speaking his heart, has shared two cents on Kantara on his Twitter handle and it is heaped with praise.

Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar was also mesmerized after watching the film. The director of Babli Bouncer said that he got goosebumps at the climax with moist eyes.

Earlier on Monday, Shilpa Shetty wrote a long caption with a picture of a scene from Kantara. The film’s excerpt read: “It is essential to the stellar talent of storytelling, performance, heart, belief and direction.”
Kantara has become the highest rated film on IMDb, surpassing Yash’s KGF: Chapter 2 and SS Rajamouli’s RRR.
Kantara is set in the rural setting of a fictional village on the southern coast of Karnataka. It depicts the story of a generational belief system and focuses on the sacred customs of the coastal region.
