Justice Lalit said that during his 74-day tenure as CJI, he would work hard to make the process of listing of new cases as simple, effective, quick and transparent as possible. “I will look into the issue and discuss it with my colleagues to come up with a ruling for free mention of urgent matters before the respective benches,” he said.
