Telugu actor Ravi Teja’s last film Ravanasur failed to live up to the expectations of the public. But, the prominence and stardom of the actor has not diminished in any way. Giving his fans another upcoming visual treat, Ravi has joined hands with filmmaker KV Anudeep. KV Anudeep is best known for 2021 blockbuster Jathu Ratnalu. Now, with the filmmaker and Ravi Teja teaming up again, fans are looking forward to fireworks in the theatres. While not much is known about the untitled project, reports suggest that Ravi Teja has been roped in for the KV Anudeep directorial.
According to a report in OTT Play, Anudeep had narrated the story of his upcoming film to Ravi Teja a few days ago. After listening to the story, the actor started showing interest in the project. Without a second thought, he gave the green signal to the film director indicating his eagerness to be a part of the film. What’s more, the yet-to-be-titled flick will be bankrolled by Varisu producer Dil Raju.

But, the suspense remains on who will play the female lead in the end. Directed by KV Anudeep, it will be of the comedy genre, marking Ravi Teja’s entry in a full comedy film after a long time. Since Ravi Teja’s Ravanasur turned out to be a disaster at the box-office, the actor can pin his hopes on this KV Anudeep directorial. Telugu actor also appeared in a cameo role in Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veeraiya, which earned him several accolades.
Additionally, Anudeep’s Tamil-language romance-comedy Prince, headlined by Sivakarthikeya worked in Tamil-speaking regions, but was below par in Tollywood. This is believed to have kept the director’s fingers crossed for the latest Ravi Teja-starrer.
Apart from Anudeep’s next film, Ravi Teja is currently busy shooting for Vamsi’s biographical crime action Tiger Nageswara Rao, a notorious thief in Stuartpuram, Andhra Pradesh in the 1970s. Tiger Nageswara Rao also stars Anupam Kher, Nupur Sanon, Kaushik Mehta, Gayatri Bhardwaj and Jisshu Sengupta in pivotal roles. The film is expected to hit the theaters on October 20.
