RBSE may also conduct board exams for class 5 and 8

NS Rajasthan Secondary Board Education (RBSE), Ajmer is contemplating to conduct board exams for class 10th and 12th as well as class 5 and 8 this year. The Rajasthan Board is expecting to release a notification in this regard to start the registration process soon.

Last year, due to rising COVID-19 cases in the second wave of the pandemic, exams had to be canceled and students were promoted to the next class. However, this year the preparation for the exam is in full swing. The education department has already directed schools to complete the data collection process for issuing admit cards for examinations. The data will also be used as the basis for preparing the mark sheet.

Government schools affiliated to RBSE will have to upload this data on Shala Darpan portal while private schools will upload their data on PSP portal. The board will release the final schedule for the exam after completing the registration and data collection process.

Meanwhile, RBSE has decided to conduct the board exams for class 10 and 12 in two phases to avoid any last minute complications in conducting the final exams. In addition, students who could not file the online application form on time have been given time till December 10 to submit their application in offline mode. Notification in this regard has been issued on the board’s portal rajeduboard.rajasthan.gov.in.

Students will have to submit an offline application fee of Rs 10,000 and a total fee of Rs 11,200 with the dual exam. The practical exam fee will be more than this mentioned application fee.

The decision to conduct the exam in two phases is being taken by several state boards along with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). first stage of CBSE Board exams are already going on.

Apart from Rajasthan, the state boards of West Bengal, Telangana, Jharkhand and Bihar will also conduct their board exams in two phases.
