The new facility is available on the candidates dashboard as well as on the admission website and will help the candidates seeking admission in the university, the university said in a statement.

Delhi University has added a new tab on its admission website to provide real-time instantaneous data and information on the programs and college preferences that the candidates are opting for. The new tab ‘college-program wise preference calculation’ will help the candidates to see how many candidates have opted for a particular program in the college.

The tab also displays whether the data is updated every two hours. The new facility is available on the candidates dashboard as well as on the admission website and will help the candidates seeking admission in the university, the university said in a statement. University officials have also raised concerns over candidates not adequately adapting the provisions of the preferences available to them by the University “Giving their preferences, the candidates may be eligible for multiple such choices, with very few choices being selected.” For example, if a candidate has been awarded 1469 program and college preferences by the university, he/she will have to select all the combinations to get the most out of the allotment round,” the statement said.

On 26 September, the university began the second phase of the admissions process for undergraduate programs to allow candidates to choose their program and college combination preferences. Phase I, which began on September 12, and Phase II will remain open till October 10. Common University Entrance Test (CUET) scores will also be required in both the stages.

The admission process which started from September 12 is being conducted in three phases: first stage is to apply to the university, second stage is to fill preference and third stage is seat allotment-cum-admission.
