Redmi Fire TV with Fire OS 7 will be launched in India on this date

Redmi will officially launch a new smart TV in India on March 14. The Chinese electronics maker confirmed the development through a press release and an official announcement on Twitter. The upcoming smart TV, codenamed Redmi Fire TV, has been developed in collaboration with Amazon and is expected to go on sale exclusively through the e-commerce portal. Amazon’s pre-sale page for the upcoming Redmi Fire TV also reveals some of the key specifications that one can expect on the home entertainment device.

According to a Xiaomi press release, the company is gearing up to launch the Redmi Fire TV in India on March 14, 2023. The launch event will go live at 12 noon IST on the above date. Xiaomi also followed it up with an official Announcement on Twitter, which suggests that the upcoming Redmi Fire TV will come with an in-built Fire TV Stick-like feature that will allow users to access home entertainment such as streaming services. Netflix, amazon prime video, disney+hotstar, youtubeeven more.

Amazon’s Entry Regarding the Redmi Fire TV, some key specifications for the device are also revealed. The smart TV will run on Fire OS 7, Amazon’s latest operating system for the Fire Stick. The Redmi Fire TV will sport a metallic bezel-less design, and will be shipped in eco-friendly packaging, claims Redmi. The TV will also come with a remote which looks similar to the one that comes with the Fire TV Stick. However, we will have to wait till the actual launch on March 14 to find out whether any additional features have been included in the remote. In the listing image, the remote is seen to have separate buttons for the Netflix, Prime Video, and Amazon Music apps.

Redmi will support Fire TV in terms of connectivity airplay, MiracastDual Band WiFi, and bluetooth 5.0,

Latest Smart TV owned by Xiaomi redmiAs mentioned earlier, will be available for sale on Amazon starting March 14. The company has not yet disclosed the price of Smart TV.
