the alleged mastermind of Rajasthan Eligibility Test for Teachers (REET) Batti Lal Meena has been arrested on Sunday 10 October in Kedarnath, Uttarakhand in the 2021 paper leak case. Reportedly, the operation was led by Inspector Mohan Poswal along with the Special Operations Group (SOG) of Rajasthan Police. Another accused Shivdas Meena has also been arrested from Kedarnath. Speaking about the same, Rajasthan Education Minister Govind Singh Dotasara said, “It is good that the most wanted criminal has been caught.” He said that things will become clear after investigation.

Dotasara also responded to the BJP’s allegations and demands, saying the investigation would end the “drama” of the opposition party. The BJP is demanding a CBI probe into the irregularities of REET 2021, while the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) has demanded Dotasara’s resignation.

BJP state unit president Satish Poonia had also alleged that Batti Lalis is a Congress worker and said that her picture with Dotasara was being circulated on various social media platforms. However, the state Congress chief had denied the allegations and said that he did not know the accused.
