In his first major announcement as the head of Reliance Jio, Chairman Akash Ambani on Saturday announced the launch of 5G-enabled Wi-Fi service at Rajasthan’s famous Shrinathji temple at Nathdwara near Rajsamand. Under the offer, invite-only customers will get access to 5G service during beta testing and will be able to access unlimited 5G data at up to 1 gigabit per second.

The company said it is launching “JioTrue5G-powered Wi-Fi services” in high footfall areas such as educational institutions, religious places, railway stations, bus stands, commercial centers and other places.

Reliance Jio plans to cover the entire country with 5G services by December 2023 and has also launched 5G-enabled Wi-Fi services.
