Reliance Jio to launch 5G services within 2 months – Times of India

New Delhi: Reliance Industries Limited live India’s top telecom company on Monday said it will launch 5G services for its customers in the next two months.
The company has committed 2 trillion ($ 25 billion) to roll out 5G services, President Mukesh Ambani said at the annual general meeting of the company. The company will start rolling out 5G in major cities before covering All-India By December 2023, he said.
Earlier this month, Jio emerged as the biggest spender in India’s $19 billion 5G spectrum auction, winning $11 billion worth of airwaves.
The Modi government aims to begin the rollout of 5G – which it says can deliver data speeds about 10 times faster than 4G – by October this year. Globally, next-generation networks are seen as critical to emerging technologies such as self-driving cars and artificial intelligence.
