Reliance partnership with Indian Olympic Association

New Delhi Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) and the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) announced a long-term partnership with an aspiration to enhance the performance of Indian athletes, support national sports federations and build India’s reputation as a global sporting nation Is. Host the Olympic Games in the future. As part of this partnership, the two will also set up the first ‘India House’ at the Paris Olympics 2024.

The organization will support Indian athletes in major multi-sport events including Commonwealth Games, Asian Games and Olympic Games.

IOC Member and Director of Reliance Industries Limited Nita M Ambani said, “It is our dream to see India take the center stage in the global sports arena. We are excited to host India House for the first time at the Paris Olympic Games in 2024. This will be a great opportunity to showcase India’s immense talent, potential and aspiration to the world.”

IOA Secretary General, Rajeev Mehta said, “Paris being India’s home in 2024 will be a momentous occasion. This is a major step in reiterating India’s commitment to the Olympic Movement.”

For the Paris 2024 Olympics, India will also host the 140th IOC session in June 2023 in Mumbai. The session, which coincides with the 75th year of independence, will highlight the role of sport in India and celebrate India’s contribution to the Olympic movement.

In May 2022, India’s first ‘Olympic Value Education Program’ (OVEP) was launched in Odisha, which combines the twin strengths of education and sport in instilling the core values ​​of the Olympics.

Earlier this month, the group that tied up with the Athletics Federation of India (AFI) announced a long-term partnership to enable the holistic development of athletics in India.
