A notice issued by the Airports Authority of India (AAI) said that charter flights and non-scheduled flights of airlines have been banned at Delhi airport due to the close of Republic Day on January 26.

The NOTAM noted that no landing or take-off from Delhi airport will be permitted for non-scheduled flights of airlines and charter flights of general aviation companies.

On Republic Day itself, non-scheduled flights and charter flights will not be allowed to land or take off from Delhi airport between 7 am and 1 pm and between 2 pm and 6.30 pm.

On January 29, due to the Beating the Retreat ceremony, non-scheduled flights and charter flights will not be allowed to land or take off from Delhi airport between 4 pm and 7 pm.

It said that there will be no effect of NOTAM on aircraft of the Indian Air Force, Border Security Force and the Aviation Wing of the Indian Army.

“State-owned aircraft or helicopters may fly with the Governor or the Chief Minister of the State,” it said.

The airlines’ scheduled flights will operate as usual, it noted.
