Rishabh Pant’s ruthless century against England in Test was summed up with these tweets

Rishabh Pant looked for a single when there was no one off the first ball in the fifth Test against England at Edgbaston, cheering opposition captain Ben Stokes. When Pant came out to bat at number five, he adopted the same method. India Were struggling at 64/3. He soon turned 98/5 and the Indian balcony looked tense. No worries in the world and at the other end Ravindra Jadeja provided a capable hand, Pant played like Pant. The young Indian wicketkeeper-batsman scored his fifth Test century in 89 balls.

Pant was eventually undone, but the damage was done as the calm client scored 146 runs at a strike rate of over 130, an innings that included 20 fours and 4 sixes.

Sure enough, his incredible innings got some great reactions on Twitter, while others responded with memes.

Pant also broke MS Dhoni’s record for the fastest century by an Indian wicketkeeper in Tests. Dhoni scored a century in 93 balls against Pakistan in 2006.
