Rishabh Shetty’s ‘Kantara’ being screened at the United Nations in Geneva

Rishabh Shetty Kantara The screening is taking place today (17 March) at the United Nations’ UNHRC Hall in Geneva, Switzerland.

On 16 March, Rishab presented an oral statement at the United Nations as a representative of ECO FAWN, a conservation non-profit from India.

According to a tweet by the Center for Global Affairs and Public Policy (CGAPP), after the screening, Rishabh is expected to deliver a speech on the role of cinema in promoting ecological change. Rishabh will also attend a private dinner with UN diplomats.

“Proud to represent ECO FAWN in presenting oral statement at UNHRC. The importance of promoting cultural rights of forest dwellers and protecting forests in Kantara is understood at the international forum,” Rishabh tweeted on Thursday.

Kantara, a folklore-inspired action drama, released in 2022 and became a huge success. The film highlights indigenous rights and forest conservation in coastal Karnataka.
