Veteran actor Robert De Niro’s upcoming Netflix series, zero day, is getting an A-list cast. The political thriller stars Lizzy Caplan, Jesse Plemons, Joan Allen and Connie Britton.
As per reports, the show will revolve around a former President, George Mullen (De Niro), who has been coaxed out of retirement to take over the commission probing the massive global cyberattack. Caplan will reportedly play George’s daughter Alexandra Mullen, while Allen will play former first lady Sheila Mullen. Plemons and Britton will play former members of Mullen’s presidential staff.
Produced by Eric Newman, Noah Oppenheim and Michael S. Schmidt zero day which would mark De Niro’s first starring role in a TV series. Jonathan Glickman and Leslie Linka of Panoramic Media are the producers and De Niro is the executive producer of the series, along with Glatter.
