The designer duo’s versatile creations ensure that post-pandemic brides have diamonds and wear them frequently

The pandemic has put an end to the stuffing of the big fat Indian wedding. But it’s not bad news, as brides tend to whip up small intimate weddings with luxuries. “There has been a change in the choice of jewelery pieces. There is a shopping sense of revenge; I see brides buy jewelery with high versatility and invest in pieces that they can pass on from generation to generation,” said Falguni Peacock, half of luxury brand Falguni Shane Peacock. “For the past almost two years, wedding ceremonies have been reduced, and the number of people attending is less. So families want to invest that saved budget on the bride and her jewellery.”

The designer couple has collaborated with jewelry brand ORRA to create six necklace-with-earring sets—crafted in 18-karat white gold with a hint of rose gold, and the signature ORRA Crown Star diamonds. “The pieces we have designed are not just meant to be worn at weddings. You give them a. can wear with lehenga, a jacket, or a dress,” says Falguni. “The vibe of this line is, ‘I want to buy some and make the most of them’.”
