Ravi Shastri, the former head coach of Team India, is known for speaking his mind. Even during his tenure as head coach, he did not mince his words and was quite direct with the players. After opting out of an extended stint, Shastri has to become a media man again. He enjoyed a long stint as a broadcaster before signing up for the tough head coach job of the Indian men’s cricket team. Shastri is making some big comments before all the important things t20 world cup 2022Which will start with the qualification phase on 16 October.

On Wednesday (October 12), he attended an event in Mumbai by the Press Club of India and he answered some important questions ahead of the mega event in Australia. They revealed their four semifinalists for the tournament. Shastri said that he believes these teams will make it to the last four. they are: India, PakistanEngland and hosts Australia.

Team India has been in good form recently with T20I series wins against Australia and South Africa. He has warmed up for the tournament with some really good matches. Pakistan has also played enough matches to heat things up. England have one of the best players in the team and Australia being the defending champions will definitely be favourites. They are playing at home too.

Shastri also revealed that Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya will play a big role in the World Cup. He said that he is a match winner and a lot will depend on his form.

“No. 4 and No. 5 batsmen in one go and can make the difference in a match. For India, it will be Suryakumar and Hardik who can win matches for India.” Former India coach said.

Thankfully, both Hardik and Suriya are in good form for India and Rohit Sharma will be banking on them to deliver the goods at the big-ticket event.
