Royal Enfield, Honda to launch two new bikes in August: What to expect – Times of India

The month of July has been busy for two wheeler makers in India to launch or introduce their brand new products like the recently launched BMW G310 RR and test ride for Bajaj Pulsar N160 and Simple One electric scooter. August is drawing to a close and this busyness will continue. Several new products are expected, the most anticipated of which will be new Royal Enfield And a Honda, Here’s what to expect.
Royal Enfield Hunter 350
Royal Enfield Hunter 350 has been spotted several times during testing. Expected to be launched in the coming weeks, the Hunter 350 will be powered by the same J-platform 349cc single-cylinder engine that was introduced with the Meteor 350 and then later with the new Classic 350. So, it will deliver the same 20 hp. and 27 Nm of torque.
The roadster-style motorcycle, the Hunter, will have a higher seating position. There are expected to be two variants – one with alloy wheels and fork gaiters and the other with spoke wheels but no gaiters.

Like all new Royal Enfield motorcycles, starting with the Meteor 350, the new Classic 350 and then the Himalayan, the Hunter 350 will also get the RE’s tripper navigation. However, it will probably be a tad extra.
The Hunter 350 is expected to be either the most affordable J-Platform 350 or the most affordable Royal Enfield once the Royal Enfield Bullet 350 is dropped from the old UCE platform. The price is expected to be around Rs 1.3-1.4 lakh (ex-showroom).
a new honda
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has announced that it will be launching a new product on August 8. While not much is known yet, Honda has confirmed that it will be a Honda bigwing motorcycle, so expect it to be in the 300-500cc space. Various speculations are being made about this. It could very well be a new iteration of the CB350 platform.
If reports are to be believed, it could be a 500cc motorcycle. Honda currently retails the CB500X in the segment, but it does not perform very well in sales due to the very high price tag. Also, a CRF300L was recently spotted at a dealership. While it is unlikely for Honda to launch a full-fledged off-road bike in India, it will be very interesting to find out what it will be. We will be testing the ride of the new motorcycle right after the launch. Watch this space for more details.
