The Royal Enfield Scram 411 Himalayan is expected to come with vibrant color options while retaining the hardware

In comparison to the Himalayan, the Royal Enfield Scrum 411 will get a smaller 19-inch front wheel as opposed to the 21-inch unit. However, it will continue to be a single spoke unit. The bike will also run on dual-purpose tyres. The styling is very similar to the Himalayan ADV but the bodywork is much less. The jerry can holders and tall windscreen have been omitted, while the spy image shows more funky dual-tone color options that give the motorcycle a more vibrant vibe.

Other upgrades will include a revised instrument console with a tripped navigation pod, a cast metal-finished headlamp cowl, split seats and revised side panels. It also gets an aluminum sump guard and urban badge plate. The ground clearance on the Himalayan has been reduced from 220 mm to 200 mm.

Mechanically, the RE Scram 411 will use the same 411 cc single-cylinder engine that powers the Himalayan. The motor develops 24.3 bhp and 32 Nm of peak torque while mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The bike will also carry suspension and braking hardware but it needs to be seen if the company will shorten the suspension travel on the Scram 411. Also, the bike is expected to be slightly lighter than the Himalayan. Prices of the new RE Scrum 411 are likely to start from as low as Rs 2 lakh, undercutting the Himalaya. The launch will happen by the end of this month or sometime in March this year.
