Railway Recruitment Cell, East Central Railway (RRC ECR) is seeking online applications for Apprentice positions on its official website rrcecr.gov.in. Under the Apprentices Act of 1961, 1832 positions across different trades are to be filled for Apprenticeship Training. Applicants must apply by December 9 at 5 pm if they are interested and meet the eligibility requirements as listed in the announcement.

These posts are on offer at the East Central Railway’s several Divisions/ Units, including Plant Depot/ Mughalsarai, Mechanical Workshop/ Samastipur, and Carriage Repair Workshop/ Harnaut, as well as Dhanbad, Mughalsarai, and Samastipur subdivisions.

RRC ECR Recruitment 2023: Eligibility criteria

Candidates must be at least 15 years old and no older than 24 years old as of January 1, 2023, to apply for the apprentice posts.

Age Relaxation

SC/ST applicants are granted a 5-year age relaxation. Candidates from OBCs are eligible for 3-year relaxation. The age relaxations for PwBD candidates is 10 years for UR, 13 years for OBC, and 15 years for SC/ST.

For ex-servicemen, the age relaxation is equal to the length of their military service plus three years, plus an additional six months of regularly scheduled, attested service.

EWS Reservation

Individuals who do not qualify for SC/ST/OBC-NCL benefits and whose household income is less than Rs. 8 lakh are classified as EWS for reservation purposes.

Step 3: Fill out your biodata and personal information with care.

Step 4: Ensure you have your Aadhar card and provide the 12-digit number while registering.

Step 5: Attach clear, scanned copies of the documents listed in the notification.

Step 6: Print a copy of the RRC ECR Recruitment 2023 online form for your records.

RRC ECR Recruitment 2023: Selection Process

The applicants who apply in response to a given Division/Unit announcement will all be included in a merit list that will be used to choose candidates for these positions. An aggregate of at least 50 per cent of the applicants’ marks from both the Matriculation and ITI exams, with equal weighting given to each, will be averaged to create the merit list.

RRC ECR Recruitment 2023: Application fee

Candidates must pay an application cost of Rs. 100, which is non-refundable. Only online payments will be accepted throughout the online application process.The application fee is waived for women applicants and candidates who fall under the SC, ST, or PwD categories.

Applicants will be sent to the official site to submit and download their completed online application when their payment has been successfully processed.
