Chandrabose told NDTV, “I was asked by RRR director SS Kingmouli to write a song for a particular scene in the film. I wrote three songs and performed them. ‘Naatu Naatu’ was the best among them.” However, completing the song was not easy, as it took a long time to get it perfect.
Chandrabose said, “I wrote 90% of the songs in a few days. The director liked them at first sight. The remaining 10% took a year and 7 months to complete.” Chandrabose penned the lyrics for the song picturized on Junior N Karyakshetra and Ram Charan on rural standard themes. “The song touches upon the themes of rural life, food and agriculture,” he told NDTV.

The full name of Chandrabose is Kukuntla Subhash Chandrabose. Chandrabose started his career with the 1995 film ‘Taj Mahal’. In his career of 27 years, he has written about 3600 songs for more than 850 films. As a choreographer, Chandrabose has received two state Nandi Awards, two Filmfare Awards and two SIIMA Awards.

The song ‘Naatu Naatu’ is sung jointly by Rahul Sipliganj and Kaal Bhairava. The lyrical version of this song was released on 10 November 2021. However, the Complete Video Song was released on 11th April, 2022. The Tamil version of the same song was released as ‘Naattu Kothu’, ‘Halli Naattu’ in Kannada, ‘Karinthol’ in Malayalam and ‘Nacho Nacho’ in the Hindi version. The film’s lead actors Ramcharan Teja and junior numbers have danced in the video of the song. The songs are choreographed by Prem Rakshit.
