Rubina Dilaik “Recently Turned Foodie” And Her Korean Food Outing Stands Proof

Rubina Dilaik’s food diaries serve as a treat to culinary enthusiasts. The popular television actress seems to be on a gastronomic adventure lately. Admitting to recently turning a foodie, Rubina shared a video on Instagram, indulging in a range of Korean delicacies. She was accompanied by her husband and actor Abhinav Shukla, along with some friends. The first dish to catch our attention was Tteokbokki or simmered rice cake — a popular spicy dish in Korea. Rubina could also be seen enjoying soupy ramen and green-coloured dimsums. There were also glasses of fresh lime soda — a refreshing treat in these rising summer temperatures.

1. Korean Omelette Rolls

To make this, beat eggs along with finely sliced carrots, sliced onions, milk, and a sprinkle of black pepper before whisking the mixture. Heat oil and add whisked egg blend into it. After cooking it for some time, roll out the eggs one by one and repeat with every mixture. Your omelette rolls are ready to be served. 

2. Kimchi 

To prepare Kimchi, chop some cabbage, keep it inside a bowl, and add salt. After leaving the mix for 3-4 hours allow the vegetable to wilt. Next, squeeze the cabbage, blend the other ingredients sans the oil, and keep them in sterilized jars. Leave it for 24 hours after sealing and serve the kimchi with sesame oil.

3. Korean Vegetable Pancake

Mix flour and water and let the blend get thick. Next, add vegetables, chilli flakes, soy sauce, and salt, followed by chopped vegetables, mushrooms, potatoes, carrots, green onions, bell peppers, and zucchini. Heat a pan, pour oil, and spread the mix. Cook the pancake from both sides and enjoy.

4. Saewoo Bokumbop (Shrimp Fried Rice)

First, you have to cook rice and add diced-minced onions and garlic. Saute frozen peas and onion in a butter-laded frying pan. Shrimps are to be sauteed with garlic and butter until they turn lightly brown, post which add the vegetable mixture, and cook for 1-2 minutes. Empty the cooked rice in the mix and scramble at least 1 egg to the blend. Salt, pepper, and soy sauce are added, mixed well, and allowed to simmer before the dish is served hot.

5. Buldak (Hot and Spicy Chicken)

In a large bowl, mix rinsed and sliced chicken with ground pepper, sugar, soy sauce, cheong ju, and honey. After marinating for 30 minutes, puree the sauce ingredients. Cook the chicken in a non-stick pan, sprinkle sauce, and add olive oil for taste.
