Indian Embassy in Kyiv has said that all Indian citizens have been evacuated from there. city ​​of pisochin of Ukraine. The latest development comes after the Ministry of External Affairs said earlier today that no Indians were trapped in the Kharkiv region of war-torn Ukraine as those who wanted to return have been evacuated by the government.

“All Indian nationals have been evacuated from Pisochin. The mission will be in touch with them throughout their visit. Their safety has always been our priority. Stay safe @opganga @MEAIndia,” the embassy said in a tweet.

The embassy said that 298 students were evacuated from Pisochin with all safety instructions and precautions. Earlier, the embassy had said that three buses organized by the Indian government have reached Pisochin and will soon make their way west. Later two more buses also came.

More than 20,000 Indians evacuated so far

The Ministry of External Affairs has said that more than 20,000 Indians have left Ukraine since the first travel advisory was issued. During a daily briefing, MEA official spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said there are more people, but it is reassuring to see that many of these people have left Ukraine.

“During 24 hours, 18 flights with around 4,000 Indians have landed in India. The total number of landing flights has gone up to 48, of which 10,348 are Indians,” he said.

PM Modi chairs high level meeting

Prime Minister Narendra Modi Another high level meeting was held on Saturday. The meeting was attended by Union External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, India’s Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla and other officials.

He also chaired a meeting on Friday to discuss the ongoing evacuation operation of Indian nationals and the situation in conflict-hit Ukraine. The PM on Wednesday spoke to Russian President Vladimir Putin and discussed the situation in Kharkiv city in eastern Ukraine, where several Indian students were stuck.
