Inspired by sabudana vada, this recipe is a stark contrast to the classic snack as it does not require boiled potatoes or soaked sabudana. This recipe, popularly known as Sabudana Vada Cutlet, has been shared by Parul Gupta through his YouTube channel ‘Cook with Parul’ and the video gives complete details of how to make this fasting snack at home.

About Sabudana Vada Cutlets Recipe: How to make Sabudana Vada Cutlets for Saawan 2022 Vrat

Dry roast the sabudana in a pan. Grind it into a fine powder. Keep aside. Make a fine paste by adding peeled potatoes, green chilies, grated ginger and cumin seeds. In a bowl, mix sago powder with potato paste, crushed peanuts, black pepper, rock salt and coriander leaves. Knead soft dough by adding little water. Mold the cutlets out of the dough, and then deep fry until crisp. The fasting-special vada is ready!

Green Chutney Recipe: How to make Vrat Friendly Green Chutney for Sawan 2022

All you have to do is grind coriander leaves, green chilies, roasted peanuts, grated ginger, rock salt, black pepper and lemon juice. You can also add curd instead of lemon juice to make the chutney spicy.
