Sahil Salathia knows how to keep his audience on the edge of their seats with his eccentric and unique fashion sense. The actor loves experimenting with his looks and doesn’t shy away from showcasing even the most risqué outfits. Currently, he is having a gala time attending the ongoing New York Fashion Week in the US. And while there, he also found a unique way to pay tribute to his mother through one of his outfits.

He is proudly representing Indian culture there through his looks, as he is wearing outfits by Indian designers like Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla, Siddartha Tytler and Puneet Kapoor, amongst others. He will also be styled by some of the designers showcasing their work at Fashion Week. Moreover, he will be wearing an outfit that has some family ties as well. A Delhi based designer named Nafisa Rachel William has restored and turned Sahil’s mother’s sarees into a cape for him to wear at the NYFW.

Excited about the piece, Sahil shares, “Three of my mother’s Banarasi sarees have been turned into a massive cape. That’s very interesting and I am psyched up about wearing it today. Nafisa has made those sarees into a cape, restoring an outfit that is 35 years old. That’s a wonderful story when you keep your family’s tradition alive and carry that vintage value with yourself on a platform like this.”

Sahil has been creating waves with his fashion choices in India for a long time, and now he is doing that globally too. The actor depicts many stories through his outfits and restoring his mother’s sarees by transforming them into a cape is another beautiful story that he is going to tell through his clothes. It’s a proud moment for every Indian to see Sahil represent our values through his fashion on such a grand global platform.
