Samsung Galaxy Home Mini 2 gets Bluetooth SIG certification, may launch soon – Times of India

A report last month suggested that samsung Working on a successor to its Galaxy Home Mini smart speaker Samsung Galaxy Home Mini 2 , Now, the device has been spotted on the Bluetooth SIG certification platform. The smart speaker has been certified as a SmartThings Home Hub with Bluetooth 5.2 under the model number SM-V320.
The website does not reveal any information about the upcoming smart home speaker. But tipster Max Jambor has previously said that the Galaxy Home Mini 2 has entered the production phase and is likely to launch soon. While the company is yet to officially acknowledge the device and its launch, it is rumored that the Galaxy Home Mini 2 smart speaker may debut at the Galaxy Unpacked event in February.
Currently, the South Korean company offers two devices in its smart speaker lineup. These include the Galaxy Home and Galaxy Home Mini. The original Samsung Galaxy Home smart speaker was announced in 2018. The speaker was only available in the company’s home country and was never launched in other global markets. Its smaller sibling – the Galaxy Home Mini – was also limited to South Korea only.
A device with the same model number – SM-V320 has been previously reported by Sammobile. It said that the smart speaker may come with a display, which makes it more of a smart display than just a smart speaker.
Meanwhile, Samsung announced the Galaxy Unpacked event in February where it will unveil the ‘most notable’ Galaxy S22 series phone. The series could include Samsung Galaxy S22, Samsung Galaxy S22+ and Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. The smartphone is tipped to be powered by the newly launched Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset or the Exynos 2200 SoC, depending on the market.
