Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5’s new hinge can withstand 200 thousand folds

New Delhi: Tech giant Samsung is upgrading the hinge of its upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 5 smartphone, which is expected to withstand 200,000 folds, media reported. As per a 9to5Google report, the tech giant is currently running “final” tests for the Z Fold 5’s new “waterdrop” hinge design.

The screen is expected to curve inwards as the phone closes rather than twisting into tight confines. In January this year, tipster Ice Universe had claimed that the Z Fold 5 would feature a “droplet” style hinge, which would reduce its display crease. It was also rumored that the device would feature a 108MP primary rear camera and an in-built Stylus Pen (S Pen) slot.
