Samsung may bring a 200-megapixel camera to its next flagship phone

Samsung launched its new foldable devices this month, and the company is already focusing on its next line of flagship devices starting next year. Samsung is going to be the next brand to introduce a 200-megapixel camera on its high-end devices.

Motorola has already done it with the new Motorola X30 Pro smartphone which has a 200-megapixel shooter. And further, we may have the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra to offer a camera with this megapixel count.

The company has shared details with its partners as it gears up for the launch of the Galaxy S23 series early next year.

This year’s Galaxy S22 Ultra has been voted as one of the best Android smartphones in the market and its successor has brought a 200-megapixel camera in a move towards the South Korean brand.

The reports do not mention which camera sensor Samsung will be using in its next premium smartphone, but it is likely to be one of the ISOCELL variants that the company has announced in the past few months.

Samsung is pushing the envelope with its camera technology, but we’d also like to see the company take another step forward in the charging realm. Even the most expensive Samsung phone gives you 45W charging support, whereas you have brands like Xiaomi, OnePlus and Oppo going well beyond the 100W charging speed mark.

Also, Samsung is expected to use the new Snapdragon chipset that will offer its new-gen ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. All these changes are definitely going to force Samsung to price the new flagship phone in a higher range, which takes it closer to what you would pay for the Apple iPhone Pro Max variant in the market. We have already seen a price jump this year with the latest Galaxy Z Fold 4 which goes up to Rs 1,84,000.
