“More details on how this option works are expected to be announced later,” the report quoted the company as saying. Android Authority previously reported that Samsung is conducting an internal investigation, according to information circulation on Naver.
The GOS app itself is not a new feature of the Galaxy S22 series and has been on previous Galaxy smartphones as well. Twitter user Garryonhan and Korean netizens posted a list of 10,000 apps that were apparently subject to a “performance limit” as part of Samsung’s Game Optimizing Service (GOS).
Following widespread complaints about Samsung Galaxy S22 devices’ performance being limited by pre-installed apps, the company’s Korean community forum has also been informed about the issue.
