Sanjay Kumar Singh takes over as Steel Secretary

New Delhi Senior bureaucrat Sanjay Kumar Singh on Thursday took charge as steel secretary as part of a major top-level bureaucratic reshuffle carried out by the Centre.

Singh, a 1987-batch IAS officer of Madhya Pradesh cadre, was Secretary, Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) and Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare (DOPPW) before assuming the new role.

Singh has replaced PK Tripathi, Secretary, Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT). Tripathi was holding the additional charge of Secretary Steel.

V Srinivas Singh, a 1989 batch IAS officer of Rajasthan cadre, will be the secretary of DARPG and DoPPW. He is presently Special Secretary in DARPG.
