The state had on November 9 ordered formation of a seven-member Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the alleged attempt to poach the MLAs. The High Court later transferred the case from SIT to CBI,

Of the four MLAs, Ramachandra Bharti alias Satish Sharma, Nandu Kumar and Singhayaji Swamy were already named as accused after a complaint was filed by BRS MLA Pilot Rohit Reddy on October 26.

According to the copy of the First Information Report, Mr Reddy alleged that the accused offered him ₹100 crore and in return the MLA had to leave the TRS, now the BRS, and contest the next assembly election as a BJP candidate.

He reportedly asked Mr. Reddy to bring in more BRS MLAs by offering ₹50 crore each to join the BJP.
