In the application, referring to the speech of BJP MLA T King in a rally organized on 29.01.2023, it has been said that he had openly called for the killing of Muslims. The petitioner has demanded that the Supreme Court order banning similar claims/rallies being organized with the aim of inciting communal disharmony through speech. Ensure that the rally to be held in Mumbai on 05.02.2023 is not allowed. If the authorities fail to stop the scheduled rally, they ask what measures were taken as per the law and give reasons why they are failing to stop the incident.

Petitioner Roylan Abdullah has stated in the application that several programs and rallies have taken place across Maharashtra calling for economic and social boycott of the Muslim community. Allegations of “Land Jihad” as well as “Love Jihad” are being made to criminalize the entire Muslim community. Thousands of people have participated in these rallies and programs and as a result there has been a very legitimate apprehension of communal agitation which needs to be addressed. A surprisingly large number of these rallies are attended by children and candidates with claims against the Muslim community.
