Scientists have developed ‘Brimetto’ – a hybrid vegetable grown on ‘Potato’ plant. The Times of India

It is a thing of the past when vegetables were cultivated from the same plant or the same vegetable growing in the field. Agricultural science has developed many such techniques by using which one can grow vegetables rapidly which are also nutritious. From genetic engineering to grafting and hydroponic technology, the agriculture industry is growing at a rapid pace. While in recent years, we have seen different vegetables growing with such techniques, scientists are developing new ways of growing different vegetables together. Whereas last year it was ‘Aloo’ – Cultivation of Potato and Tomato, this year, scientists have developed a new technique using which one can grow brinjal along with these two vegetables and it is being called ‘Brimetto’.
