Referring to a market study conducted by McKinsey, Shri Scindia said that today around 31% to 49% of Indians would prefer to travel by advanced air mobility in terms of short services to be able to save time.

He also stressed on the need to enhance the infrastructure for creating advanced air mobility using Electric Vertical Take-off and Landing (EVTOL) aircraft.

“We need to ensure that vertiports are built, short landing and take-off facilities are provided. Apart from setting up vertiports in each state, we also need to set up charging vehicle systems for EVTOLs, such as Electric car market, which is growing rapidly in India, EVTOLs should symbolically grow along with the electric car market in India and those charging ports should double for EVTOLs along with cars and the infrastructure required to be installed needed,” he said.
