‘Seeking political gains’: Gadkari asks critics to fabricate his statement

Union Road and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari on Thursday hit out at his critics for “concocting” his statements. He accused him of running a nefarious and concocted campaign against him by some who want to gain political mileage from it. This comes days after the minister was removed from the powerful BJP parliamentary board.

“Today once again attempts were being made to continue nefarious and fabricated campaigns against me for political gains at my behest by the mainstream media, sections of social media and especially some public programs without context or justification. My statements were fabricated in context,” he tweeted.

He also tweeted a YouTube link of a video of his speech at a book launch event on Tuesday, which was being used selectively on social media.

“While I have never been troubled by such a malicious agenda of marginalized elements, all concerned are cautioned that if such mischief continues, I will encourage them to act against our government, the party and the wider community of millions. Will not hesitate to take law in the interest of our hardworking workers,” he tweeted tagging BJP President JP Nadda and Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).

Gadkari also narrated an incident about raising the issue of road construction in a village in Maharashtra during the book launch, where he told the officer concerned that it was okay whether the officials stood by him or not.

Referring to his conversation with the concerned officer, he had said at the time of the book’s release, “I am not worried about the consequences, but I will do this work. If possible stand by me and I should not be disturbed.” “

The statement was more explicit about him not worrying much about the boycott from parliamentary board,

Especially Aam Aadmi Party’s Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh had tweeted a video on Thursday morning asking why Gadkari was saying this. “There is a big traitor going on in the BJP,” he tweeted.

The minister’s tweets also came amid newspapers quoting senior BJP members to claim that he was kept out of the parliamentary board for “out of turn” and tendency to make colours. Comments.

Gadkari also shared the link of the entire video to clear the air on what has been said.
