Seminar on Consumer Protection held in Chennai

Citizen Consumer and Civic Action Group (CAG) in association with Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University organized a seminar on ‘Consumer Protection in India – Today and the Tomorrow’ on Tuesday.

This was in line with the World Consumer Rights Day observed every year on 15 March to raise global awareness about consumer rights and demands.

Nidhi Khare, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, participating in the seminar, spoke on consumer-oriented initiatives of the government such as Right to Repair portal, QR code for product authenticity verification and National Consumer Helpline empowering consumers. Press release.
