Amit Shah took a dig at the opposition parties over the politics of appeasement and said that for a long time the people of Uttar Pradesh felt that the Mughal rule in the state had not ended. “Things changed in the state after the BJP came to power with a clear majority,” he said. Stating that there was a time when there was exodus in areas like Kairana, the Union Home Minister claimed that things have changed under the BJP. Shah said that the Yogi government has given permission to UP to get his identity back.
