BJP leader Amit Shah BJP’s membership drive started in Uttar Pradesh on Friday. In his speech, Shah, who is credited with some of the BJP’s most spectacular electoral victories, also outlined the focus areas of the BJP’s campaign for the upcoming assembly elections.
Here are the top five areas that Shah focused on in his speech:
1) Yogi liberated UP mafia
Amit Shah praised the Chief Minister of UP Yogi Adityanath To rein in the mafia, which he claimed was active in the state before the BJP government was formed. Shah said there were some ‘Bahubalis’ in every district of the state and now such people are not found even with a magnifying glass. The Union Home Minister also said that women can move out safely in the state which was not the case earlier.
2) A mockery of the Mughal rule to target the politics of appeasement of the opposition
Amit Shah took a dig at the opposition parties over the politics of appeasement and said that for a long time the people of Uttar Pradesh felt that the Mughal rule in the state had not ended. “Things changed in the state after the BJP came to power with a clear majority,” he said. Stating that there was a time when there was exodus in areas like Kairana, the Union Home Minister claimed that things have changed under the BJP. Shah said that the Yogi government has given permission to UP to get his identity back.
3) Nepotism charge

Attacking the Samajwadi Party, Amit Shah said, “Akhilesh and Company taunts us that we had talked about building Ram temple but never mentioned the date. Now not only the date, we have also laid the foundation of the temple. ”
The Union Home Minister alleged that the Samajwadi Party government opened fire on the temple worshippers.
5) Yogi fulfilled 90 percent election promises, handled Kovid well
Amit Shah praised Chief Minister Adityath for effectively handling the Covid pandemic. Shah said, “UP is a state with population equal to Europe and there were concerns about the impact of Covid on the state”, but Chief Minister Adityanath did his best. The Union Home Minister claimed that the Yogi government has fulfilled 90 per cent of the promises made before the last assembly elections.
