Shahbaz Sharif threatens legal action against Imran Khan – Times of India

Islamabad: Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahbaz Sharif resolved to take legal action against them on Monday Imran Khan for his attack against the institutions of the state, saying the former PM’s remarks were ‘very dangerous and horrifying’. He also accused Imran of plotting the attack. civil war in country.
Sharif was mentioned Imran’s public meeting in Abbottabad on Sunday, where he was an associate of Mir Jafar and Mir Sadiq – East India Company who had betrayed Siraj-ud-Daulah and Tipu Sultan respectively – to draw a parallel with the expulsion of the PTI-led government last month. “Our government was removed from power through today’s Mir Jafar and Mir Sadiq,” Imran told the crowd.
Addressing a session of the National Assembly, Sharif said Imran has directly compared Pakistan’s institutions with Mir Jafar and Mir Sadiq.
“The poison he (Imran) spewed about the institution is a conspiracy against Pakistan. If this is not stopped through law and constitution, God forbid, this country will become a terrible reflection of Syria and Libya where cities today offer cemetery views,” Sharif said on the floor of the House.
Sharif said: “You (Imran) were fine with this institution (Pakistan’s army) when it was feeding you like a baby … the support you got from it was unprecedented.”
“Without any fear, I want to say that in 75 years, this institution has never supported any government or prime minister like Imran Khan did. It was his misfortune that in spite of this he learned nothing, did nothing and did not serve the nation. No instance of such support was found and will never be found again,” the PM said, adding that if even 20 per cent to 30 per cent of that support was provided to the PPP or PML-N governments, the fate of Pakistan would have been different.
While clarifying on Monday, Imran said that Shahbaz and his brother, former PM Nawaz Sharif, were the “real Mir Sadiq and Mir Jafar” of Pakistan. “He (Shahbaz) is a liar. They say that Imran Khan defamed the army. Tomorrow I have a rally in Jhelum where I will reply to you (Shahbaz) as to the extent to which I was insulted and what you did to the country as a traitor,” Imran told a gathering of PTI leaders in Islamabad.
In the National Assembly, the Prime Minister had warned of a serious crisis in the country if Imran’s statement was not tightened.
Quoting former Ambassador to the US Asad Majeed Khan – whose meeting with US officials was termed as “threatened” by Imran – Shahbaz said the ambassador had “written in the letter that he used a threatening tone, But there was no mention of conspiracy.”
“We have a long history of threats (from the US). Former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger threatened former Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto while former President General Pervez Musharraf was also threatened by America after 9/11, but I fail to understand that Imran Khan was threatened with this threat. Where did this conspiracy come from,” Sharif said. He said Pakistan and India have been regularly threatening each other, “But is it a conspiracy?”
Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, who spoke after Sharif, called Imran a “security risk”.
