8 arrested in cruise drug bust; Shahrukh’s son ate charas
In a surprise raid conducted by Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) On a cruise liner bound for Goa off the coast of Mumbai, 8 people, including a Bollywood superstar, were arrested Shahrukh Khan23 year old son of Aryan Khan. Aryan was booked for consuming charas. Among the 8 arrested, Aryan was produced in the court along with his close friends and actors Arbaaz Seth Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha and remanded to NCB custody till October 4. Aryan’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde argued in court that his client was invited to the event. by the organisers. According to a report, Manishinde said, “No incriminating material has been recovered from him (Aryan Khan). There is no possession or evidence of consumption.” Meanwhile, the other five arrested persons were Nupur Satija, Ishmeet Chadha, Mohk Jaiswal, Gomit Chopra and Vikrant Chhokar and will be produced before the court on October 4. Notably, after receiving information about a party, 22 NCB officials joined the board. The cruise as passengers and a raid were conducted as the party began and found their co-travellers consuming drugs. The NCB claimed to have seized 13 grams of cocaine, 21 grams of charas, 22 tablets of MDMA and 5 grams of mephedrone and over Rs 1.3 lakh in cash.
