Shares in the mutual fund industry rose 9.3 percent in January.

People’s confidence in investing in mutual funds has increased.

The Indian mutual fund industry has grown by 9.3 per cent to Rs 23.4 million crore in January this year. This information has been received from the data of the Charter of the Indian Mutual Fund Association (Amfi). In January 2022, shareholders added Rs 21.40 million crore to mutual funds.

By standards, however, the value of the audit has come down marginally to Rs 17.42 lakh crore in January 2023 from Rs 17.49 lakh crore in January 2022. Mutual fund industry people believe that the main reason for the increase in assets is the increase in New Investment Plan (SIP). SIPs touched the Rs 13,000 crore mark for the fourth time in a row in January this year.

Apart from this, AMFI played an important role in creating awareness about mutual funds among themselves.

In Rs crore terms, inflows through SIPs increased to Rs 13,856 crore in January from Rs 13,573 crore in December.
