Sheikh Abubakar Ahmed: Where the heart is rich

A believer is one who completely dedicates his soul and body to the will and will of the Almighty who has created him through unknown processes, sustains and calls him back in unexpected ways, that too. There is no knowledge in time. Accordingly, whatever fate bestows upon a Muslim, he accepts it with all his heart and contentment. this quality Iman (believe) called tawakkuli (trust) or authority.

“The Holy Quran teaches us that happiness is a submission to God”

Contentment is an inner feeling that is a state of prosperity, happiness, self-reliance and peace. It is the root of bliss, the source of a happy life on earth which brings peace of mind to the true believer. The Holy Quran teaches us that happiness is devotion to God. Therefore, to attain happiness, one must believe and lead a righteous life, following the principles of Dharma while serving the society.

Prophet Muhammad (s) said: ‘Look at those lower than you (less fortunate than you), and do not look at those higher than you….’ Looking at the fate of the classes will only cause you worry and anxiety.

The real happiness for a Muslim is when he dedicates his life for others – wipes the tears of orphans, widows and poor, feeds the hungry, feeds the sick, gives drinking water to the thirsty, Provides shelter for the homeless. ..And thus. Giving children the right education and moral education is above all, because when a child receives proper education supplemented with spiritual knowledge, he is not only happy and content, but he can also bring happiness to a thousand other people. . And it is a quality for which a Muslim is rewarded in this life and in the afterlife.

Happiness, of course, is a state of mind and also relative. People who eat little are richer than those who starve. They are happy and content from inside. When asked about his life his response is always, ‘Alhamdulillah‘, which means ‘praise be to Allah (SWT) for His blessings’. It is an expression of His satisfaction and gratitude towards the Creator: ‘And whatever blessings and good things you have, it is from Allah (Holy Qur’an 16:53).’ Similarly, it is mandatory for a Muslim to believe that all the virtues and misdeeds that happen to him are due to the will and intention of Allah (SWT). “Whenever they love a devotee, they subject him to trials. Should he endure patiently, Allah (SWT) casts him out; if he remains content, he purifies him.” This hadith reveals that Allah cleanses the believers – those who are patient, content and rich within – from their sins, paving the way for them to go to heaven.

Muslims who are rich within are self-satisfied and are characterized by a high self-esteem, which prevents them from asking for anything. The result is that as soon as you see them, you think of them as rich. In fact, contentment or happiness is the source of wealth of these good Muslims. ‘True wealth is to be satisfied with what one has, and when to use it so as to strive for its lasting reward’; ‘Wealth is not in the amount of property (that he has); Rather, true prosperity is the prosperity of one’s inner self (or contentment).” – Prophet Muhammad (s).

These two hadiths state that happiness consists of true wealth, which people can use to please Allah (swt) who frees them from their sins and grants them heaven.

As long as contentment is associated with the heart and can be equated with prosperity, a better conclusion is that for a Muslim to be satisfied in any situation, the readiness to share what he has and the richness of the heart His real source will be happiness! He doesn’t need anything else.
