After Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty and her husband-businessman Raj Kundra filed a Rs 50 crore defamation suit against Sherlyn Chopra, the latter has reacted. Responding to the defamation notice, Sherlyn shared that she had sent a notice to the couple demanding Rs 75 crore for mental harassment. He had also said that ‘he was threatened with the underworld’. For the uninformed, Sherlyn Chopra filed a police complaint at the Juhu police station on October 14.
“Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty threatened me with underworld and now sent me a defamation notice, but I will not be scared. I request the police to record my statement so that my complaint can be taken cognizance. I have sent a reply notice to Rs. There are demands. 75 crores for mental harassment,” says Sherlyn Chopra.
Earlier, Sherlyn was sued for defamation of Rs 50 crore by the lawyers of Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty. The statement read, “All the allegations made by Ms. Sherlyn Chopra against Mr. Raj Kundra and Ms. Shilpa Shetty Kundra are fabricated, false, fake, frivolous, baseless, without any evidence, even of Ms. Sherlyn Chopra.” also in the knowledge, and with the ulterior motive of defaming and extorting money”. The statement further claimed that Shilpa Shetty is not involved in any functioning of the JL Stream app.
“This is nothing but an audacious attempt by Ms. Sherlyn to drag the name of Ms. Shilpa Shetty to create unwanted controversy and to attract media attention. The allegation is nothing but an idea, in which Ms. Sherlyn Chopra has been given Cr No. 02 has been introduced as an accused in./2020, Nodal Cyber Police Station.
Ms Sherlyn Chopra has committed offenses under sections 499, 550, 389 and 195 (a) of the Indian Penal Code, 1860. We have full faith in the Indian judiciary, and we will initiate civil/criminal proceedings against Ms. Sherlyn. Chopra before the competent court for justice. We have done defamation of Rs 50 crore against Sherlyn Chopra.
