Responding to KTR’s reply to Housing.com and Khatabook founder Ravish Naresh’s complaint about infrastructure and other issues in Bengaluru, Shivakumar said his party would bring back the glory of the city after securing power in the 2023 elections.
It all started when Naresh tweeted, “Startups in HSR and Koramangala (Silicon Valley of India) are already generating billions of dollars in taxes. Yet we have very bad roads, almost daily power cuts, bad There are quality water supply and poor footpaths. Many rural areas now have better infrastructure than India’s Silicon Valley. Plus, the busiest traffic has the nearest airport three kilometers away. He also tagged PM Narendra Modi and Karnataka did BJP,

Responding to his tweet, KTR invited Naresh to set up his firm in Hyderabad. “Pack your bags and go to Hyderabad! We have better physical infrastructure and equally good social infrastructure. Our airport is one of the best and getting in and out of the city is a breeze. More importantly, our government’s focus is on 3 mantras; Innovation, infrastructure and inclusive growth (sic),” he tweeted.

Shivakumar reacted to KTR’s tweet and said that he accepts his challenge and vowed to restore Bengaluru’s pride. “@ktrtrs, my friend, I accept your challenge. by the end of 2023 Congress Back in power in Karnataka, we will restore Bengaluru’s pride as the best city in India.

This friendship did not end here. On Shivakumar’s comments, KTR further said: “Dear @DKShivaKumarAnna, I don’t know much about Karnataka politics and who will win but challenge accepted. Let there be healthy competition for prosperity.Focus on Infra, IT and BT, not Halal and Hijab.

He said that it was strange and sad to learn about the situation in Bengaluru. “Some BJP leaders from Bengaluru come and give us lectures on how to run the government in Telangana. What is happening in Karnataka is a shame for all of us in India, it ruins our reputation as a nation in attracting investments,” KTR said.
KTR’s remarks assume significance amid mounting attacks on Muslim and Christian groups in BJP-ruled Karnataka following the hijab controversy and calls by groups to ban Muslim traders from temple festivals. Ever since the BJP came to power in Karnataka and the Center started funding the neighboring state, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and KTR have been targeting the Center for ignoring the state for allocation of funds and sanctioning projects.
