India started cautiously with Ishan Kishan and KL Rahul looking ahead to the first two overs. But Ishan Kishan died due to pressure on the accelerator.
KL Rahul also fell in the same vein, after a short delivery from Tim Southee, only to be caught in the deep.
With runs barely out, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli also decided to carry on, but both fell early. In the end, India posted 110 for seven with Ravindra Jadeja remaining unbeaten on 26 off 19 balls.
Before falling to Bumrah, New Zealand hit two boundaries with Martin Guptill.
Daryl Mitchell stepped in the center and blew up the Indian bowling attack in all parts of Dubai. He scored 49 runs in 35 balls to take New Zealand to the brink.

Captain Kane Williamson and Devon Conway ensured that New Zealand did not lose any more wickets as they reached the target with 33 balls to spare.
With two losses in two matches, India are fifth on the Group 2 points table, only above bottom-placed Scotland in terms of net run-rate. India now have matches remaining against Afghanistan, Scotland and Namibia.
